Kakuma Child Future Hub welcomed 30 new community volunteers through a comprehensive five-day training workshop held at our offices in Lopur Ward, Kakuma 3.
The workshop covered essential topics including child protection principles, basic first aid, effective communication with children and families, community mobilisation techniques, and an introduction to KCFH's programmes and safeguarding policies.
These volunteers will support our education, child safeguarding, disability inclusion, and peacebuilding programmes across Kakuma. They represent both refugee and host communities, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and community participation.
'Volunteers are the heart of our work,' said a KCFH programme coordinator. 'They live in the communities they serve, they understand the challenges, and they are there every day. This training gives them the tools to make an even bigger difference.'
